How to apply the ideas

Match the finish to the way the room works.

Garage or workshop

Start with decorative flake or industrial gray. They create visual texture and a practical, work-ready appearance. Discuss cleaning, vehicle use, moisture, cracks, and slip profile during assessment.

Finished basement

Metallic finishes can turn the floor into a design feature. Coordinate the sample with wall color, lighting temperature, furniture, and moisture conditions before choosing a system.

Home gym or studio

High-contrast flake or solid color can define a focused space. Equipment loads, mats, impact, cleaning products, and desired traction should guide the specification.

Retail or showroom

Metallic movement can support a premium atmosphere; a branded solid-color accent can guide circulation. Foot traffic, downtime, maintenance, and lighting matter.

Utility or storage area

A restrained gray texture keeps the design simple and purposeful. Surface condition, drainage, moisture, and cleaning expectations come first.

Custom combination

Use the samples as a starting point. A consultation can explore color family, flake blend, sheen, edge details, transitions, and the preparation the concrete requires.

A disciplined process

The finish is only as good as the system beneath it.

Assess

Review concrete condition, prior coatings, cracks, moisture concerns, access, and intended use.

Prepare

Define the cleaning, profiling, repair, and protection steps required for the selected system.

Apply

Follow the product-specific mixing, timing, broadcast, coating, and cure requirements.

Turn over

Confirm cure and return-to-service timing, care instructions, and the completed scope.

Epoxy planning questions

Can any concrete floor receive epoxy?

Not automatically. Condition, moisture, contamination, previous coatings, cracks, and intended use need to be assessed before recommending a system.

Will my installed floor look exactly like a sample?

No two metallic applications are identical, and lighting changes every color. Flake density and blend can also vary. Samples establish a direction; the approved scope establishes the system.

How long before the floor can be used?

Cure and return-to-service times depend on the specified products, temperature, humidity, and type of use. Timing should be confirmed for the individual project.

What should I send for an estimate?

Include the room dimensions, town, current floor condition, intended use, any moisture history, preferred finish, timing, and clear photos of the entire floor plus problem areas.

Which sample fits your space?

Send a floor photo and the sample name you like. Prestige will help define the next step.
